Education & Training
I have over 14 years of experience providing mental health services including individual and group psychotherapy to diverse populations. I completed my undergraduate degree in Psychology from the University of California, Davis and a Masters in Social Work with a special emphasis in community mental health from Cal State East Bay. I have worked in a variety of settings including hospitals, residential facilities, correctional facilities and outpatient clinics. In 2023, I completed a 200 hour yoga teacher training. I have found yoga to be incredibly helpful on my own path of self-healing and am excited about incorporating mind-body healing practices into my work as a therapist. I have received training in the following therapeutic approaches:
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)
Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT)
Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR)
Mindful Yoga Therapy (MYT)
Polyvagal Theory
Harm Reduction for Substance Abuse and Self-harm Behaviors
